now tightened to 14.5psi which is the rod adjustment limit on one side. Curiously, native boost is only 10psi at this setting. It does seem to hold boost a 'bit' better above 5500rpm now, but stills falls off toward 6000rpm and above. Peak is still about 24psi in 65deg weather.
I do agree with your wastegate size theory. I measured the surface area to be 50% more than a Sport500(and I'm guessing 600?) wastegate. The actuator must hold 50% more pressure than w/ the smaller wastegate.
My next test is to get back on a dyno and log some boost vs rpm charts. I'll post when I get more info..... PS It still runs great for street/track and this issue only comes into play on race gas trying for 'dyno-queen' glory #'s!
